Books, Nature

It was a truly lovely little book. It made me want to go outside and be among the ponds and the birds and the grasses. It made me want to read poetry. It made me want to write poetry. It was beautiful, lyrical, expertly crafted, at times whimsical, at others, grounding. It inspired me to go to the thrift store and look for some poetry books (which I found), and pick up a book of Emerson as well.

It’s quite a short book. I highly recommend it, especially if you like nature writing. It made me feel connected to a place I’ve never been, and nostalgic for a time that no longer exists, and was gone before I was even born.
